Mahapola and Bursary Scholarship
Eligible Criteria for Award Mahapola Scholarship
- The student must have obtained at least a Grade 2.0 GPA (GPA) in the final exams of the course in which they participated and have accumulated at least 18 Credits at the relevant level of the previous year.
Students must be enrolled in Level 04 or higher courses (Examples Year 2 or above)
Current concessions are applicable: Rs. 24,000/- per annum per school-going sister/brother who is 18 years or under, up to a maximum of three children and Rs. 36,000/- concession per annum persister/brother following a course in a university but not in receipt of a Mahapola scholarship or a Bursary
The age of the student on the day of selection should not exceed 30 years
The student should not or should not be engaged in any other higher education
As specified by the U.G.C, the parental income limit is increased to Rs. 300,000 / - or less
Students must provide a letter from a Grama Niladhari to certify annual parental income
